Rooted Kindle runs KOReader with Zen UI. Custom Calibre:KOReader protocol impl to send and delete books to selected folder on Kindle with a simple tool over WiFi. Auto-downloads metadata and forces Kindle size cover. (The default UI on Kindle is so bad, it negates half the hardware.)

Now XTeink X3 (thanks Nistha!), flashed Crosspoint after two seconds on stock firmware. Jerry-rigged Calibre bridge without Calibre to send books. Now I’m reading fanfics in style.

I made this tiny lamp circuit which has no user-accessible buttons. It has a low-power accelerometer instead.

I got my hands on a Surface Duo recently. Interesting form factor, OEM unlocked, and easy to root. WITH cellular internet connection. I’m excited to see what I can make it do.

I’ll hopefully have time to write detailed notes, but for now I’m dumping these photos here. This is all so cool, the PCBs I designed have arrived.

In the course of building this website, I decided to go look at Mitxela, to see how he laid things out. I really liked it, I should probably go through all his posts and absorb all that engineering wizardry.
